Bon Iver, the Eau Claire-based musical project led by Justin Vernon, has officially announced the upcoming release of its fifth studio album, SABLE, fABLE.
The record is set to debut on April 11, marking nearly six years since the release of I, I in 2019.
Described as Bon Iver’s “epilogue,” the album serves as a continuation of last year’s EP SABLE. The new record opens with the three minimalist tracks from that EP, followed by nine additional songs featuring guest appearances from Danielle Haim, Dijon, and Flock of Dimes.

Fans got their first glimpse of the album’s new material on Friday with the release of a music video for Everything Is Peaceful Love. The video, directed by John Wilson—best known as the creator and star of HBO’s How To with John Wilson—offers a preview of what’s to come.
Ahead of the album’s release, Vernon is set to make an appearance at the On Air Fest in Brooklyn on Feb. 21, where he will discuss the project with broadcaster Krista Tippett.
Additionally, Vernon recently collaborated on Charli XCX’s Brat re-release, Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat, contributing to a reworked version of the song I think about it all the time.
