Australian post-grunge band Silverchair is set to host a special event next week in honor of the 30th anniversary of their double-platinum debut album, Frogstomp. Recorded when the band members were still teenagers, the album quickly launched them into mainstream success.
This anniversary celebration will take place at the Metro Social in Sydney, Australia, on March 26th. However, the band’s former frontman, vocalist/guitarist Daniel Johns, will not be in attendance.

Drummer Ben Gillies and bassist Chris Joannou will participate in the event, taking part in a Q&A session moderated by Richard Kingsmill. Also expected to attend are the band’s former manager, John Watson, and John O’Donnell, the A&R executive who originally signed Silverchair.
As part of the celebration, The Buoys will perform covers of select Frogstomp tracks. Additionally, limited edition vinyl records and numbered photographs will be available for attendees.
