On Friday, March 7, Tennessee-based deathcore giants Whitechapel officially released their highly anticipated ninth studio album, Hymns in Dissonance.
The album was meticulously recorded throughout 2023 and 2024, with guitarist Zach Householder taking charge of production. Speaking with the Loaded Radio Podcast, guitarist Alex Wade described the album’s intent as being “shockingly menacing and brutal.”
He further elaborated that Hymns in Dissonance continues Whitechapel’s tradition of concept albums, diving into dark religious themes while delivering their signature crushing riffs.
Critical Acclaim
The ten-track album has already received widespread critical acclaim, earning praise from major metal publications such as Blabbermouth.net, Kerrang!, Louder Sound, and MetalSucks.
