Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is set to produce a film chronicling Oasis during their highly anticipated summer reunion tour.
Titled Oasis Live ‘25, the film will be directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the filmmaking duo known for their work on the LCD Soundsystem concert film Shut Up And Play The Hits and the documentary Meet Me In The Bathroom, which explored the early 2000s New York City music scene.
The film will be produced by Magna Studios, with Sam Bridger and Guy Heeley serving as producers.
Executive producers include Marisa Clifford and Kate Shepherd, whose past projects include Beastie Boys Story, Gangs Of London, 20,000 Days On Earth, and Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now.
The project will be distributed by Sony Music Vision, with Krista Wegener leading global sales.
Oasis BandRumors had circulated in UK tabloid newspapers that Oasis was planning to document their reunion tour for a cinematic release.
The band has not performed together since 2009, when a backstage dispute between the Gallagher brothers led to Noel Gallagher’s departure. The upcoming reunion tour will feature 17 shows across the UK and Ireland, kicking off in Cardiff in July.
Ticket demand was overwhelming, leaving many fans frustrated as prices soared due to “dynamic pricing” on ticketing platforms. A government watchdog is currently investigating the ticket sales process.
It was later reported that over 50,000 tickets for the UK tour, which had been resold on secondary platforms, will be canceled.
Promoters Live Nation and SJM confirmed to BBC File on 4 that all invalidated tickets will be re-released through the official seller, Ticketmaster, at face value.
