After more than six years of silence, Linkin Park made a triumphant return in late 2024, launching not only the promotional campaign for a new album but an entirely fresh chapter in their career.
For a long time, the future of the band seemed uncertain following the tragic passing of lead singer Chester Bennington.
However, with new vocalist Emily Armstrong joining their ranks, the Grammy-winning group managed to stage a successful comeback—and it looks like their resurgence is far from over.
While fans are still relishing the recently released comeback album, From Zero, more music is already on the horizon.
During an interview on the red carpet of the iHeartRadio Awards, Linkin Park revealed details about an upcoming song titled “Up from the Bottom,” which is set to drop on Thursday, March 27.
Speaking with Billboard, band member Joe Hahn shared his thoughts on the track, saying, “It’s the best song we’ve ever made.” Mike Shinoda echoed his excitement, adding, “It’s one of the best videos we’ve ever had.”

At this stage, it remains unclear how “Up from the Bottom” fits into Linkin Park’s broader release plans. The song could be a standalone single, or it might serve as the first glimpse of a deluxe edition of From Zero, which originally debuted in November 2024.
Although promotion for that album has slowed down in recent weeks, it hasn’t come to a complete halt, and this could be the perfect opportunity for the band to reignite momentum around the project.
Several songs from From Zero are still performing well on the Billboard charts, along with multiple albums from Linkin Park’s catalog.
The record produced major rock hits, including “The Emptiness Machine” and “Heavy as the Crown,” both of which dominated the hard rock rankings and quickly became fan favorites.
There’s also speculation that “Up from the Bottom” might be the beginning of yet another full-length project. While it may seem early for Linkin Park to start working on a follow-up album, the band could be looking to build on the excitement of their highly anticipated comeback.
With their return proving to be a massive success, they may be eager to keep the momentum going and further cement their place in the modern rock scene.
