Lady Gaga is set to appear in the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday, and while fans are eager for details, series star Jenna Ortega is staying tight-lipped about the pop icon’s role.
“There’s definitely dances in the show,” Ortega teased in an interview on Thursday (March 13).
“I’m not saying anything about her character though! Let her be incredible and amazing. She’s great in the show and I don’t think she’s what people expect her to be.”
While specifics about Gaga’s role remain a mystery, her addition to the cast comes two years after her song “Bloody Mary” became part of a viral TikTok trend tied to the first season of the hit Addams Family-inspired series.
During the show’s first season, a scene featuring Ortega, who plays the titular role of Wednesday Addams, dancing to The Cramps’ 1981 single “Goo Goo Muck” went viral.

Fans quickly began editing the sequence with “Bloody Mary” instead, which led to a widespread TikTok trend where users recreated Ortega’s choreography. Even Gaga herself joined in on the trend that December, trying out the now-iconic dance.
Ortega previously shared her experience working alongside the Born This Way singer.
“I love working with Gaga,” she said. “I’ve had the pleasure of seeing her a couple of times now, and she has only ever been unbelievably sweet and just precious.”
Reflecting on the surreal experience, she added, “It’s insane to see someone with such a bold persona and just bursting with this incredible, unachievable talent for most—but also be able to hear them say ‘Cut,’ Tim Burton saying ‘Cut,’ and then having a normal conversation [with her] about what you had for breakfast. It’s super strange and I’m incredibly grateful.”
