Demi Lovato left at least one fan feeling uneasy this week after sharing a cooking video in which she tried out a new recipe.
The clip, posted on Tuesday as part of her “Cooking With Demi” TikTok series, featured the “No Promises” singer attempting to roast a whole chicken.
“Today we are making a whole roasted chicken,” Lovato, 32, introduced the video. “It seems really overwhelming, but it’s not. We’re gonna have fun, and I’m telling myself this because I feel overwhelmed.”
However, things took an awkward turn when she accidentally turned on the stove instead of the oven.
“I’m just nervous!” she admitted.
While the lighthearted mishap amused some viewers, others were more concerned after noticing Lovato’s hands shaking noticeably throughout the video.
“I’m afraid of seeing her shaking that hard,” one fan commented after watching. Lovato later reassured concerned viewers that she was fine, replying, “I’m okay! I promise.”
In the caption, the singer acknowledged both the challenge and her hesitation about roasting a whole chicken.
“On Cooking With Demi, we are all about facing our fears,” she wrote. “Today, we did that by trying out a recipe for a whole roasted chicken.”
She added, “It wasn’t pretty at times, but it wasn’t nearly as overwhelming as I thought it would be, and I’m really proud to have this recipe in my back pocket now.”

Lovato launched her “not-so official” cooking series on Instagram in July. The first episode featured the former Disney star baking brownies.
“A not-so official series where I test out my skills in the kitchen and start to find freedom and joy again with food,” she captioned the debut episode. “First up, fudge brownies!”

Lovato’s latest video comes just months after her ex-boyfriend, MMA fighter Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos, was found dead in October at the age of 38.
A case report released last month determined that Vasconcelos’ death was ruled as suicide.
Following the news, Lovato took to social media to express her sorrow. “Very, very sad,” she wrote. “Darling, I send you love.” She added, “Rest in peace, dear angel.”
Lovato and Vasconcelos were first linked in July 2016 but ended their relationship the following year.
“It wasn’t a dramatic split,” a source told in May 2017. “Bomba is a good guy, but the relationship just ran its course.”
