Counting Crows Tour Dates Announced, Set To Start From June 10

Counting Crows have officially announced an extensive world tour to celebrate the release of their highly anticipated new album, Butter Miracle, the Complete Sweets!—their first full-length studio effort in over ten years.

The tour is set to kick off on June 10 at The Pinnacle in Nashville, wrapping up on August 23 at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Englewood, Colorado.

Throughout the trek, Counting Crows will perform a mix of headlining shows and festival appearances, with The Gaslight Anthem joining as the supporting act for most of the headlining dates. A U.K. and European leg is scheduled for the fall.

Tickets for the North American tour will be available for purchase starting March 14 at 10 a.m. local time.

Fans looking for early access can take advantage of an artist presale beginning on March 11 at 10 a.m. local time. Full ticketing details are available on the Counting Crows’ official website.

A Long-Awaited Album Release

The band’s upcoming album, Butter Miracle, the Complete Sweets!, is set to drop on May 9. This marks their first full-length release since 2014’s Somewhere Under Wonderland.

However, the group first teased their return in 2021 with the EP Butter Miracle, Suite One, which hinted at the new music that was to come.

Speaking with Rolling Stone around the release of Suite One, Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz opened up about how the project came together after a five-year break from songwriting.

He credited a stable relationship, a change in environment from New York City to the English countryside, and even a major personal transformation—shaving off his dreadlocks and beard—as catalysts for his renewed creativity.

“I’ve been quite happy,” he said at the time. “I’ve been in a relationship for four or five years now—one that is very satisfying and healthy. Most of my experiences in my life had been what it’s like to be alone and live alone.

And that’s not the case anymore. That’s a big change for me, to really come to the idea that maybe something’s more important than writing songs.”
