Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco have taken their relationship to both personal and professional levels.
The 32-year-old singer shared a collection of photos with Blanco, 36, as she announced her upcoming album, I Said I Love You First, on Instagram on Thursday, February 13.
“I always trick you guys, my NEW album I Said I Love You First with my best friend @itsbennyblanco, is out on 3/21,” Gomez captioned the post.
“Our first song, Scared of Loving You, is out now on all streaming platforms. Merchandise and signed products for the album are available for pre-order now. We can’t wait to share this special project with you soon!”
This marks Gomez’s first music release in a year. Her last single, “Love On,” debuted in February 2024, following her 2023 hits “Single Soon” and “Calm Down.”
Gomez and Blanco’s relationship began as a professional collaboration when they worked together in 2015 on her Revival album, producing tracks such as “Same Old Love” and “Kill Em With Kindness.”
Speculation about their romance surfaced in July 2023 after Gomez, Blanco, and Paris Hilton appeared together in a photo. Gomez later confirmed their relationship in December 2023 through an Instagram comment.
“He is my absolute everything in my heart,” she wrote at the time. “He [has] been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end. … He’s still better than anyone I’ve been with. Facts.”

After dating for a year, the couple announced their engagement in December 2024.
“Forever begins now,” Gomez captioned an Instagram post featuring her engagement ring. Blanco responded in the comments, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”
Beyond music, Gomez maintains a successful film and television career, starring in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building and the Oscar-nominated film Emilia Pérez.
In the past, Gomez had expressed uncertainty about returning to the studio, noting the challenges of balancing music and acting.
“The older I get, the more I’m kind of like, ‘I would like to find something to just settle on,’” she shared on the “SmartLess” podcast in January 2024. “I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting.”
She continued, “You’re right [I don’t have to choose between the two], but I am going to want to chill, because I’m tired.”
Gomez launched her solo career in 2013 and received a Grammy nomination in 2022 for her fourth EP, Revelación, in the Best Latin Pop Album category. The award ultimately went to Alex Cuba for Mendó.
