Motley Crue Member Vince Neil’s Girlfriend Survives A Dangerous Plane Crash Killing The Pilot

Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil’s private jet was involved in a fatal collision at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday, February 10, resulting in the death of a pilot and injuries to Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Andreani.

The accident took place in the afternoon when the Learjet 35A, owned by Neil, veered off the runway and crashed into a parked aircraft. According to multiple reports, the incident caused significant damage and led to an emergency response.

A representative for Neil confirmed via the band’s official Instagram account that the singer was not on board at the time of the crash. “At 2:39 p.m. local time, a Learjet aircraft Model 35A owned by Vince Neil was attempting to land at Scottsdale Airport.

For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway, causing it to collide with another parked plane. On board Mr. Neil’s plane were two pilots and two passengers. Mr. Neil was not on the plane,” the statement read.

The representative further stated, “More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation and there is an ongoing investigation. Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today.”

Captain Dave Folio of the Scottsdale Fire Department confirmed that one individual had died and four others sustained injuries due to the accident.

A previously shared Instagram statement from the band, which was later deleted, identified the deceased as the jet’s pilot. “While details are still emerging, our hearts go out to the families of both the pilot who lost his life and the passengers who suffered injuries,” the statement read.

The band also mentioned plans to support the pilot’s family, stating, “Motley Crue will announce a way to help support the family of the deceased pilot – stand by for an announcement very soon.”

Reports indicate that Rain Andreani suffered five broken ribs, while her friend, who was also aboard, sustained injuries. The two women were traveling with their dogs, who survived the crash. Both passengers, along with the co-pilot, were transported to a hospital for treatment.

The Learjet had arrived from Austin, Texas, before the crash occurred. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) provided further details, stating, “A Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet on the ramp at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona around 2:45 p.m.”

The FAA confirmed that there were four people aboard Neil’s jet and one person in the Gulfstream at the time of impact. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the accident as new details emerge.
