The Jonas Brothers are set to mark their 20th anniversary with their fans in a special way. Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas revealed on Friday, February 14, that they will headline an event called JonasCon on March 23.
According to an announcement on Instagram, the celebration will take place at New Jersey’s American Dream Mall, featuring live performances, Q&A panels, retail takeovers, and a variety of themed activations.
Despite initially sparking concerns about a potential breakup, the trio reassured fans through an open letter posted on social media, emphasizing that “the best is yet to come.”
“To our incredible fans, as a family, we have been doing a lot of reflecting lately,” the statement, shared on Wednesday, February 12, began.
“It’s hard to believe that 20 years have passed since we started this journey together. It feels like just yesterday we were packing up our family mini-van with a few guitars and copies of It’s About Time CDs, heading to a small gig, eager to play for anyone who would listen.”
It’s About Time, released in 2006, was the Jonas Brothers’ debut studio album.
“We were chasing a dream—to play music and connect with others in the uniquely powerful way that only music allows,” they continued. “Back then, we were just teenagers… well, except for Nick, who wasn’t even old enough to see a PG-13 movie.”

The brothers expressed deep appreciation for their fans, stating that they had been given “a thousand lifetimes of incredible memories.” They reflected, “We wake up each day filled with gratitude that you’ve been on this 20-year journey with us.
Together, we have celebrated victories, learned from mistakes, overcome obstacles, and experienced loss. Simply put: we’ve all grown up together.”
Understandably, fans were initially alarmed by the letter’s opening, given the group’s history. The Jonas Brothers took a hiatus in 2011 to focus on solo projects before reuniting in 2019 with the hit single “Sucker,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“STOP I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING TO BE ANOTHER BREAKUP,” a fan commented in all caps, garnering over 46,000 likes. “Guys, not the jumpscare,” another person joked.
However, the brothers quickly alleviated any concerns by reaffirming their gratitude for their dedicated fanbase.
“It’s hard to put into words just how much we appreciate you. None of this would have been possible without you. You’ve stood by us, cheered for us, encouraged us, and inspired us,” they wrote. “We’ve shared unforgettable moments at shows, bumped into you on the street, met you at airports, and read your incredible stories on social media.”
They emphasized that their bond with fans remains as strong today as it was when they first started performing.
“We’re celebrating this wild 20-year journey by doing what we love, and we can’t wait to share it with you,” they added. For those still harboring doubts, the closing lines of the letter made their intentions clear.
“From the bottom of our hearts: thank you!” the brothers concluded. “Here’s to the next 20 years, and here’s to experiencing it together. The best is yet to come.”
