Lady Gaga took the stage at the FireAid Concert for L.A. wildfire victims on Thursday, January 30, delivering a heartfelt performance that included a brand-new song she co-wrote with her fiancé, Michael Polansky.
Before launching into her final song of the night, Gaga shared its origin with the audience in a moment captured in a video circulating online.
“I wanted to do something hopeful for you,” she explained. “As I was thinking about my songs, none of them felt quite right.”
Revealing the song’s special significance, she continued, “So, me and my friend Michael—my fiancé, my love—wrote this song for you.
It’s just for tonight. It’s just for you. I think we all need a lot of things right now, but something we may also need is time. Time is a healer.”

The uplifting song featured lyrics emphasizing resilience and moving forward: “All I need is time / All I need is time / To heal my broken wings / And then I’ll soar / All I need is time / To leave it all behind / All I need is time / To leave it all behind / And keep moving forward.”
Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, was part of a star-studded lineup of artists performing at the benefit concert to support those impacted by the L.A. wildfires.

A Relationship Sparked by Fate
Gaga and Polansky, who began dating in 2019, confirmed their engagement in July 2024. Their romance started after Gaga’s mother, Cynthia Germanotta, met Polansky at a charity event over five years ago.
“I’ve met your future husband,” Cynthia reportedly told her daughter at the time.
Lady Gaga’s Upcoming Album ‘Mayhem’
The FireAid performance wasn’t the couple’s first collaboration. Polansky served as an executive producer on Gaga’s highly anticipated album, Mayhem, set for release on Friday, March 7.
“This album was so much fun to watch her make,” Polansky shared in an interview with Elle for Gaga’s February cover story.
“She recorded it right down the street from our house, so we could easily walk back and forth from the studio. I spent a lot of time with her, bringing my laptop to work while she was there. What surprised me most was how fast she is. I couldn’t believe how quickly a song would take shape. Within five minutes, 80 percent of the song would have come from nothing,” he added.
